Moldova Water Partnership was established in March 2007, after stakeholder meeting held in October 2006 in the capital city of Chisinau. Currently, NGO Centre for Strategic Environmental Studies (ECOS) hosts the partnership.

The main objectives are to promote IWRM, to provide the neutral platform for the water policy dialogue, to facilitate knowledge exchange and implementation of action programs by water stakeholders. Main stakeholders include governmental institutions, NGOs, municipalities and research and educational institutions.
