| Country Water Partnership Slovakia |
|
Slovakia is divided between the Danube River basin (96%) and the Vistula River basin (4%).
GWP was introduced for the first time in Slovakia in 1998 when the country became a member of GWP CEE. Since then, a number of activities have been carried out in promoting IWRM principles and building bridges between different stakeholders and sectors using water resources.
Country Water Partnership Slovakia cooperated with major water stakeholders at the national and local level such as Slovak Association of Waste Water Experts, Academia Istropolitana Nova, Ministry of Environment, Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute, and Water Research Institute.
Currently, Country Water Partnership Slovakia consists of members representing governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as individuals.
