Since its foundation in 2002, Country Water Partnership Hungary succeeded to become well-recognized and acknowledged in Hungary as a promoter of IWRM principles.

In the past, Country Water Partnership Hungary co-operated in several projects with the Ministry of Environment and Water Management and the Ministry of Agriculture.

The most successful project, implemented in the framework of the Balaton Club programme, was focused on the awareness-rising for school children in the Balaton lake region.

Country Water Partnership Hungary carried out the project in a close partnership with local stakeholders such as Women for the Balaton Association, The National Park of Hortobagy, the Trans-Danubian Regional Waterworks Company and the Environmental Protection and Water Management Research Institute.
